A French Gentleman No. 1 Rusticated Horn Pocket – The probable country of origin for this Gentleman is France from either Butz Choquin or Chacom. An Unbranded 3/4 Bent Dublin – The Dublin is a classic shape with a bit of an attitude. The 3/4 bend allow the pipe to hang nicely while a new steward enjoys his favorite blend. The grain on this pipe is not what you would expect on an unbranded pipe, but it is definitely beautiful. The bird’s eye grain draws the attention nicely. A Chatel Sculpted Edelweiss Horn Stem Billiard – Chatel, a French village in the Alps, has its name chiseled in this pipe most likely produced in France for tourists visiting this Alpine village. The edelweiss sculpting creates a contrast between the smooth and rough briar, and the fine grain appearing on the flowers gives a soft texture vibe. The ensemble is completed with the rustic feel of the horn stem, again giving yet another contrast to observe with the wooden bowl. This Billiard shape cradles nicely in the palm and is ready for a new steward. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. The dimensions are Length: 5 1/2 inches, Height: 1 3/4 inches, Rim width: 1 3/16 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 5/8 inches. SOLD – Price $65 USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Savinelli 4015 Slim Dublin – This unique Savinelli had some challenges with 14 fills that had to be repaired. It was worth it. The vintage of this Savinelli Slim Dublin is 70s/pre-70s and the ‘Slim’ profile is unique. The lines are crisp, and the bowl is tall. This Savinelli will provide good fellowship for a new steward as it begins a new lifetime. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. The dimensions are Length: 5 3/4 inches, Height: 1 13/16 inches, Rim width: 1 1/8 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 11/16 inches. SOLD– Price $65 USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Republic Era Peterson’s “Kildare” 86 Apple Shape – This “Kildare” represents the 1965 inaugural series of the Peterson’s Kildare line. With significant rim burning damage, it was quite a challenge to bring back to this state. The grain is eye catching and the Peterson P-Lip stem adds nice lines. The Apple shape provides a classy presentation and fits well in the palm as one enjoys his favorite blend. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 3/4 inches, Bowl height: 1 1/2 inches, Bowl width: 1 5/8, Bowl depth: 1 3/8 inches. SOLD – Price $65USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Savinelli Silver 111 KS Billiard Italy – This Savinelli Silver presents the image of a Billiard with all the classic lines and a sterling silver band thrown in to match one’s cuff links. The grain is beautiful with swirls and tight bird’s eye scattered. The ample bowl guarantees quality time and fellowship packed with one’s favorite blend. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 1/2 inches, Height: 2 inches, Rim width: 1 3/8 inches, Chamber width: 7/8 inches, Chamber depth: 1 3/4 inches, and weighing in at 52g. SOLD – Price $120USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A 1950s Vintage Brebbia Portofino Sea Rock Pear – This pipe was definitely a diamond in the rough when I came upon it on a vendor’s table in Sofia. The ‘See Rock’ rusticated finish is nothing short of exquisite. The detail of the work not only produces satisfaction for the eyes, but also a nice tactile experience with this bowl nestled in the palm. The added bonus is the information from Brebbia Pipes’ head, Luciano Buzzi, placing the vintage of this Portofino at 1953 as an inaugural line of Brebbia Pipes after separating from Savinelli. Truly, a pipe with historical importance for the Brebbia name. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 1/16 inches, Height: 1 5/8 inches, Rim width: 1 1/8 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches Chamber depth: 1 7/16 inches. SOLD – Price $70USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A 1946/47 ‘Design by Curtis’ Pat. Pend. Metal – This vintage metal pipe was produced in Cleveland, Ohio. The ‘Art Deco’ style is expressive of the times in which it was conceived as an ‘ornamental pipe for smoking’ by its creator, Howard Abrams. The sheen of the aluminum surface is mesmerizing. The bowl holds a briar cup which is ample for much time and fellowship with one’s favor blend. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. The size of the Curtis is: Length: 6 1/2 inches, Height: 2 inches, Rim width: 1 1/2 inches, Chamber width: 7/8 inches, Chamber depth: 1 1/8 inches. SOLD – Price $85USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Dr. Grabow Regal Ajustomatic Pat. 2461905 Dublin – This 1956 to 1980s Dr. Grabow Regal Ajustomatic exceeded all my expectations. The grain emerged from underneath the factory ‘candy apple’ shellac finish and is exceptional. The lines of the slightly canted bowl of the Dublin shape track very nicely through the shank to the slightly bent stem – a nice presentation for a pipe that had been destined for the basket. The Ajustomatic mechanism works like a charm now, and the bowl sits nicely in the hand. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 11/16 inches, Height: 1 3/4 inch, Rim width: 1 1/4 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 1/2 inches. SOLD – Price $65USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A French Beech Wood Hetre Panel – I discovered during the restoration that the beech wood has its own characteristics and these are much different from the briar wood usually on the worktable. The grain patterns are unique as they crisscross and have ‘glow’ spots. The ‘red velvet cake’ finish came out nicely, and this unique beech wood Panel with an orific stem should provide a nice break in the day for a new steward. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 3/4 inches, Height: 1 inch, Rim width: 1 inch, Chamber width: 5/8 inches, Chamber depth: 1 1/16 inches. SOLD – Price $55USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Kiko Genuine Block Meerschaum 7 Billiard of Tanganyika – This Kiko Genuine Block Meerschaum Billiard is a unique, one-of-a-kind pipe. It predates 1962 when Tanganyika ceased to exist as a country in Africa. The name of this Kiko’s line, Countryman, fits well. The black stained ‘rock’ Meerschaum with the flecks of Meerschaum peaks is a nice contrast and gives a relaxed, rustic vibe. The bowl is of ample size fitting well in the hand and also will provide a new steward with plenty of room to pack his favorite blend. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 9/16 inches, Height: 1 3/4 inches, Rim width: 1 3/16 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches Chamber depth: 1 3/8 inches. SOLD – Price $85USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Rusticated Meerschaum Lined Billiard of Italy – This pipe is unbranded, but the scalloped rustication in contrast with the smooth briar ‘finger pads’ is striking. The concentrated grain displayed in these pads is nice. The Meerschaum contrasting with the rusticated rim is another nice touch. The overall lines of the pipe running down the elongated shank then transitioning into a classy slightly tapered stem is eye pleasing. This pipe promises to offer a new steward great fellowship for years to come. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 11/16 inches, Height: 1 7/8 inches, Rim width: 1 3/8 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 1/2 inches. SOLD – Price $75USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A Whitehall Gulf Stream Carved Dublin – The origins of this Whitehall Gulf Steam are somewhat mysterious, but my sense after research is that it is American made. Understanding a pipe’s heritage helps to create a unique bond for stewards that follow. The tan finish on the ‘rocky mosaic’ briar surface brought this pipe to life. Intricacies of grain populate the plateaus of smooth briar – very nice. The rocky mosaic carving is pleasing to the eye and provides a nice texture in the hand. The Dublin shape and lines along with the sculpted briar landscape, provide an olde world rustic feel that make this pipe a candidate for a favorite in one’s rotation. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 3/4 inches, Height: 1 7/8 inches, Rim width: 1 1/4 inches, Chamber width: 13/16 inches, Chamber depth: 1 9/16 inches. SOLD – Price $70USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
A 1937 to 1954 KBB Yello-Bole Cured With Real Honey Apple – In 1932 KB&B created the Yello-Bole brand to use inferior briar passed up by the flagship line, Kaywoodie. The grain on this Yello-Bole needs not take a back seat to any pipe on the market. The lateral grain running along the sides of the bowl result in nice patches of bird’s eye grain displayed on the fore and aft quadrants. The brass shank cap provides a classy transition from shank to the acrylic stem. This vintage Yello-Bole Apple shape has a nice feel in the palm and ready for a new steward. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 5 3/4 inches, Height: 1 3/8 inches, Rim width: 1 1/8 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 3/16 inches. SOLD – Price $60USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
An Unbranded Horn Stem Bulldog – This classic straight Bulldog has very active and eye-catching grain with lateral patterns along with Bird’s Eye. The horn stem shows off the hues and lines which give it a homey, sit-back and relax yourself feel. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 6 inches, Height: 1 1/4 inches, Rim width: 1 1/4 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 1/8 inches. SOLD – Price $70USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
An Orlik Royal Sovereign Made in England Prince – This Orlik Royal Sovereign is a genuine vintage pipe and has come a long way. The stummel had several issues with crack repairs and refilling imperfections in the briar. Yet, even with the scars it carries forward, this Prince shape is an elegant pipe, and the grain calls out to be noticed. The gentle taper of the Prince stem continues the long lines and the sterling silver band provides a touch of class. The ample bowl promises a lot of time and reflection with one’s favorite blend packed and ready to go. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 6 1/4 inches, Height: 1 3/8 inches, Rim width: 1 1/4 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 3/16 inches. SOLD – Price $70USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.
An Unbranded Italy Slightly Bent Oval Shank Billiard – The grain on this unbranded Italian Slightly Bent Billiard is beautiful with stout bird’s eye grain on the flanks and horizontal grain positioned fore and aft. The slight bend gives an elegant feel to the pipe and the oval shank complements this. The bowl fits well in the palm and promises much fellowship with one’s favorite blend pack and ready to go. More can be read about the restoration process at this LINK. This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, and is ready for a new steward. Length: 6 5/16 inches, Height: 1 7/8 inches, Rim width: 15/16 inches, Chamber width: 3/4 inches, Chamber depth: 1 11/16 inches. SOLD – Price $70USD + Postage/fees to be paid by buyer.

I wish I did. I have several Peretti pipes in the “Help me!” Basket but I’m in the US now and my work table is back in Bulgaria. It will be next February before I could get to it. I have several Oom Paul’s, a half bent Billiard and an Extra large straight Billiard available to restore but not until February! You can see these pipes pictured on my restoration of a Large Full Egg from that same Peretti lot (https://thepipesteward.com/2017/08/10/revitalizing-a-distinctive-l-j-peretti-of-boston-large-full-bent-egg/). Let me know if you can wait!

Hey!
My father-in-law shared this link with me after stopping by your work in Bulgaria a few weeks ago. I’m interested in having the Imperial Churchwarden Algerian restored to purchase it for a friend of mine. Please contact me with details.

Thanks, Brian. No, I don’t have any Peterson Oom Pauls in my stores. I do have one Peretti Oom Paul Sitter left which you can see in my section on this site, ‘For Pipe Dreamers Only’. Take a look, and read the information about commissioning a pipe there. Let me know!

Yeah I would love to see that pipe when you are done(Peretti oom Paul). I don’t think there is much doubt I will want it. Also the Jobey bent dublin is one I am also interested in. What do I have to do to get the ball rolling on the oom Paul and both if possible? Let me know what is next! Thanks Brian

Hey Steve, did you look also in the “For Pipe Dreamers Only!” collection? I have a few hundred pipes to browse through. What comes to my work table are the pipes that people ‘commission’ from that page. Take a look there. My favorite is Lane BCA that I buy from PipesandCigars.com. https://thepipesteward.com/pipedreamers-only-info/

Thanks for reaching out! 99.9% of the pipes sold have been commissioned. The ‘commissioner’ has the first opportunity to purchase the pipe before it’s available for others. Check out this info: https://thepipesteward.com/pipedreamers-only-info/
