COMMISSIONED B#5355 EP Gourd Calabash Made in Austria – The Gourd Calabash was found at an antique shop in Denver. It has a Meerschaum cup and the ‘EP’ on the ferule is ‘Electro Plating’. The stem needs to be bent and the gourd shank has some cracking, but this can be repaired. A nice classic Gourd and a collector piece.

B#5391 Jobey Asti Contrasting Briar Billiard – It’s hard to say at this point where this Jobey was made as Jobey has been produced in England, US, Denmark and France. Asti was a higher end Jobey line it would seem, the smooth/rough contrast is nice. However, this pipe needs some ‘piper dreaming’ because the bowl has been cracked. I’ve included a picture of a pristine Jobey Asti from Pipedia to help the dreaming :-). For those needing translation: Fatta A Mano translates to “Made By Hand”. Per Aspera Ad Astra is a Latin phrase found on Ser Jacopo pipes and is the Ser Jacopo motto. It translates to “To the Stars Through Travails”, meaning that success comes through hard work. A very collectable pipe.
